Brilliant film makes money, bad one doesn’t! 😁
Borderlands only opens with $8m. Ouch!
has there ever been a good video game movie?
Not good, per se, but certainly some entertaining ones.
The Last of Us is fantastic, but it’s not a movie.
Arcane too
I liked the latest D&D movie a lot, but I guess that doesn’t technically count.
The first Mortal Kombat movie was a classic!
Honestly the latest one was good too
Despite its issues, I really liked Warcraft.
I enjoyed it as well.
Haven’t seen either yet, but everyone seemed to love the Mario and Sonic movies
Final Fantasy, the ghost within. Great animation for it time, good plot, fine movie.
Good in terms of being a good example of great cinema, no
Good in terms of being faithful to the source material and/or fun to watch?
- ratchet and clank
- resident evil
The Silent Hill series was pretty great. Also, the original Mario Bros movie.
Oh, and Advent Children!
I’m sure I’ll see Borderlands eventually, but it wasn’t tracking for me as a must see. The trailer was just okay, and I’m not sure did the movie any favors-- In fact it looks like it was made by the same person that made the trailer for The Suicide Squad (2016).
I’ll certainly see it at some point just out of morbid curiosity. Considering the bad reviews, I expect this will hit digital pretty fast.
Was thinking the same! 🙂
They already have Blu-ray preorder steelbooks announced!!!
@UKFilmNerd It’s crazy how badly the projections have been missing opening weekend hauls over the past two months. It seems that since Bad Boys, they’ve undershot every blockbuster by a significant amount.
I find it strange that there seems to be a job of professionally guessing movies opening weekend numbers. 😄
Well, money makes the world go round and movies are a combination of really expensive gambling and money laundering.
So you want to know the odds before you gamble your money too.
