53% is barely “most”
This is a really bizarre point to try to make, to me. The headline doesn’t say “the vast, overwhelming percentage of gamers”… It says most. 53% is most.
The bigger problem I had was with the categories, really.

Sifu is a great game.
Lost was amazing from beginning to end, though!
I was a pretty hardcore Bethesda fan for years, long before Skyrim. But they have burned me too many times now for me to have any faith in ESVI.
I wouldn’t say no one asked for it. I like the idea of the ps5 pro. It’s just hard to swallow that price. Might still pick it up on a sale after a year or whatever, recoup some cost by selling my current ps5.
20k and dropping by thousands every day? So you’re telling me no one will be playing it in a week?
Right, but they are rich, they can afford expensive.
It will spare them a lot longer than it will the poor, though.
That it’s actually more than 2 a year, I assume.
7700XT and 4060ti aren’t retailing for 350USD and you’re not getting 4k 60fps at the fidelity the PS5 pro is doing.
“comparable gpu” is kinda loaded. I have a pc and a ps5, so I’m not trying to take sides. What gpu are you getting for 350 usd that games at the fps, quality, and resolution that the ps5 does?
I see a lot of outrage about the price. But really, what’s the alternative? Inflation has been nuts and most things are up. GPU alone would cost more than the console, if you’re building a pc.
I will say though, no disc drive is a real shit move. Just a few years ago it was like, “here’s the price, and here’s the price if you don’t want a disk drive.” Now it’s the opposite and that part is definitely annoying.
It’s still not good, imho. It’s supposed to be a game about exploring space. But the “exploring” in this case is just fast travel. I grew up on Bethesda games, I hold games like Morrowind, Oblivon, and Fallout 3 in very high regard. Starfield just got so boring, so fast, I couldn’t continue playing after only like ten hours, if that.
Love GDQ. It’s good to hear Matty is doing well enough to take the reins now.
Nintendo is an interesting example to use, as their games famously don’t decrease in value and honestly often sell for more than original over time.
I’ve been playing my 3DS, Wii, WiiU, Gamecube, and PS2 titles on it.
I mean, how do you typically hear about movies? I saw trailers for both at the last movie I was at, and Borderlands had a pretty big ad run.
Okay, but, they did already do an incremental upgrade.
Many of the same devs, as I understand it.
