I feel like I’m at the point where I’d rather not know what cool games I’m missing out on bc of capitalist bullshit.
they already did a fallout game in the south and it sucked balls
fallout: brotherhood of steel. it has a metal/industrial soundtrack and has a sponsership with bawls soda
If one more brainless Yankee can’t tell the difference between the South and the Midwest I’m going to do nothing because I expected no better
is bos not a game based in texas?
It follows the Midwest BoS chapter, but in all fairness I can’t blame you for the confusion. Texas is big enough that even though it’s the only state to fight for slavery twice and as such is as Dixie as can be, parts of it are considered more properly Southwest and Midwest so there’s plenty of room for debate.
I do not, however, retract my statement on Yankees, as being uncharitable towards them is traditional.
As a proud Yankee, fuck you and your traitor ancestors. Any region defined by whether or not the states fought for the continuation of slavery is not a region worth being proud of.
AKSHUALLY my ancestors are carpetbaggers, SUCKER.
That aside “Dixie” isn’t really the same thing as the Confederacy, but there’s a lot to be said from the sociological angle about how cultures often develop in opposition to outside pressures. There isn’t a lot a Texan should have in common with someone from South Carolina after all.
What are you talking about? There is no brotherhood of steel game
…“never shoulda come 'ere…” shuffles backwards towards you"
Sound kind of like the idea behind wasteland 3
Many of the same devs, as I understand it.
Would absolutely love to see a mod that creates a deep south Fallout experience. I imagine you could have a lot of cool things, like a whole quest line where you travel to a settlement of people who are obsessed with barbeque and are a huge supplier to one of the factions, but you learn they are actually cannibals after falling asleep and being drugged and dragged off to be chopped up, leading to a sneak escape sequence.
Too fucked up and funny for contemporary audiences.
You can have a commune of wiccans represented respectfully in the game, with a soup making minigame, a small patch for planting and harvesting vegetables you can use, and a short quest chain featuring a little “theatre” performance event near the end, where you get to play the role of one of the fae. You even get a “play dead” button. The commune will feature interesting and iconic characters with appropriate jokes.
