War Within
I agree.
I’ll add there’s apparently no point to a degree in it because it seems even the ones who have one learned nothing.
Rapists and muggers might belong in the same tier, but thieves and vandals should largely be in a lower tier of sentencing. Maybe with the exception of seriously harmful vandalism.
It means I open the site, and I can’t read the article because it had some obligatory signup.
Granted, this was on mobile. On desktop it seems I can read it.
I don’t care.
The site doesn’t want readers, I’m gonna go back to reading memes.
Nursing/Kindergarten or something? Isn’t that about that high?
I saw this “cool guide” a few weeks ago on the front of Lemmy and people were dissecting it in the comments back then, too.
I personally took interest in the silencer misrepresentation.
Overall it’s a pretty stupid, simple comic gimmick by Bright Side. Bright Side are not proficient educators, they just excel at pumping out vast quantities of garbage “educational” content. /u/Blaze@sopuli.xyz should not have shared it.
I played through FarbCry 3 and 4 and started getting into 5 recently.
I just couldn’t.
They got markedly worse reach time. I was able to finish 4, but the “THIS IS AN UBISOFT GAME” vibe became more and more shameless. It felt gross, it was filtered through something ugly. I never felt the love for it that Far Cry 3 earned. I still vividly remember visiting the first shop and seeing “Painted Pachyderms! Spend Uplay points to make all the elephants colorful!” It was on the front page, it was so fucking UbiSoft. It made sure I’d never see the gun stores in FC3’s successor as gun stores in any kind of immersive way.
With FC5, it just got worse.
I think I want to try Far Cry 2 some time, I think I used to play it a very long time ago but I barely remember it. I remember the malaria shots and the very flammable grass.
I mean it still works for getting attention, but it’s not exactly respectable and there are some people who really don’t like them.
Google Maps is exempt from moderation in Google Play Store.
I can’t name it all, but it felt significantly smoother with my Intuous tablet, and the zoom function was nice and useable, unlike Krita’s.
I had a cracked CC 2015 or something for a while, failed to back it up before I formatted my PC, didn’t find another. Settled for CS5 for a while and it was a marked downgrade, felt significantly worse to paint in.
Eventually my harddrive crashed and I lost that one too, but I didn’t really care as I mostly gave up drawing after losing the CC one. I’ve tried Krita enough over the last few years to know I’ll never enjoy digital art again unless I fork out for Adobe, who demand a steep subscription service, rights to everything you make, and if you buy a lifetime license I’ve seen multiple reposts that they have proven they won’t honor it. Frankly, I do not enjoy the 2020s at all. In general I feel like it would be completely fine if we managed to just wipe ourselves out sometime soon.
Real wannabe artists do, and they suffer while doing it.
I fucking miss having Photoshop, man. Can’t justify the stupid high cost and don’t know how to get a pirated version anymore.
Definitely looks like it was made in Gimp.
Few Eastern and Southern Europeans give a shit, Northern Europeans are all in, way more votes per capita. Sweden rallying together a whopping 0.13% of the country.
If you’re talking about being forced to code as in “make the game work on it’s own without the server”, I’m thinking a “working state” includes “here’s what you need to run the server privately”, no more coding should be necessary.
Idk if you were thinking they’d be legally compelled to convert server based multiplayer games into peer-to-peer, but that’s not how I see it.
It should also not be legally possible to prosecute restoration work to make unsupported games run on private servers.
So much work goes into just filtering out inappropriate jokes from idiots who think they’re the next George Carlin.
I sometimes check out Lemmy while I’m mostly on reddit.
Been on Lemmy more recently as I’ve experienced a few “holy shit this site is bot infested” wake up calls on Reddit. One of those reposts with duplicate comment chains from a year prior. I even responded to one of them *shudders*
Lemmy is still pretty meager, but it might grow further. What seems clear to me is that Lemmy has a lot of users that actively don’t want to attract the full Reddit crowd, in other words they don’t want Lemmy to outgrow Reddit.
I think Lemmy is cursed by it’s users to remain an insignificant niche alternative, even if it grows a little further.
Too bad it happened only after the competent staff was gone.
Guessing they still have no idea why people liked Battlefield around the Bad Company to BF3/4 days. It’s a complete mystery.
Modern audiences want unique looking heroes with purple tazers and quips about food delivery apps not servicing warzones.
