Lots of options available. YT is slowly cracking down on them. That’s OK, just keep your medium run media consumption plans flexible.

The point is that the post title was false (or intentionally very misleading, if you insist on creatively parsing it). Accuracy in post titles is important.
The garbage is taking itself out
You posted the numbers. It’s not 1% or something small that people might argue is trivial. One trap of political reporting is that people conflate a country name with it’s military or its current leadership or its people. That inevitably leads to extrapolation and unwarranted conclusions.
Of course this is not unique to Israel. It happens all the time. And it’s not OK, but many people are lazy and others are manipulative, so the best we can do is be aware of the tendency to equivocate.
Paywalled, pointless.
Yeah, the yen is absurd. If the Bank of Japan did nothing, it would have resulted in massive anger among the Japanese people. For context, several years ago, the exchange rate was around 110. Then it went up and up, to around 160. Everything depending on imports rose in price (i.e., 50% up), but wages barely moved. That, my friends, is an unstable setup.
Mostly good article. The end is wrong, though. People do care about policy. Any decent political journalist knows this.
We don’t need to care about him. Bad comedians with shitty world views are a dime a dozen. He’s famous because he communicates well and not because his ideas are worth attention or respect.
IKR? If only we had some way of capturing photographic evidence from satellites and aerial photography that would let us map the advance and retreat of glaciers around the world. That would be really useful technology in ensuring that facts could be used when discussing this important issue.
Oh well, I guess it’s too technical to ask for such things after all. Maybe Elon Musk can do something about it in the next decade.
If only CO2’s warming properties had been discovered in 1856. If only good models of global warming had been created in 1896. If only those had happened, maybe society could have taken more substantial actions…
