Haha yeah and for breaking news you could just forget about it. I can’t imagine being in a reddit thread when Trump was found guilty the other day. It’d be like shouting at a thunderstorm."
Honestly when I first joined, I was thinking it was gonna be a week or two at most before I’d go back to Reddit. But I’ve been impressed by the community and have grown to love it. It feels so nice to be able to comment on a major news story and actually have people respond, instead of just having your comment get lost in a sea of thousands of reddit comments.
Lol the way that’s dropping I’d say a celebration is in order!
Interesting. So by having the database and front end servers in different data centers, they couldn’t keep up with all the requests from the big instances. Sounds like upgrading to Lemmy 0.19.3 changed how the federation queues worked, where it wasn’t a problem before. I wonder if something similar could be going on here.
Hmm sounds like it’s a problem on the lemmy.world side then.
Awesome, you guys rock!
Oh yeah, that looks pretty telling. Also, just wanted to say thanks for how awesome you guys are on the admin team. The work you guys do and how responsive you are is freaking impressive. Thanks!
Interesting. I’m not using a VPN in my case.
I think I saw somewhere that lemmy.world has grown way bigger than most other instances - probably because the name is less confusing to new users. I’m wondering if they’re running into scaling issues as a result.
I never got a resolution. Fortunately it only happened one time for me. Still it’s a pain in the ass.
Democracy is spreading.
I don’t really like the idea of splitting queues into people who are hardcore following the meta vs completely relaxed. But I also hate queueing for higher difficulties and getting matched with level 5 players who don’t have a Booster unlocked yet.
I disagree. Random titties are a nice break in my doomscrolling.
Probably busted a nut when there was a foot visible and Pavlov’s dogsed yourself.
Glad to see them making changes. This game is fun as hell, but running into issues getting in sucks bad. Especially when you’re in a squad and someone’s game drops and they can’t join again for another hour.
Friendly fire being turned on for this game was the best game design decision ever.
Seriously. This image convinced me hell is real and I’m going there for having seen it.
