That and Geralt’s story got a natural end in Blood and Wine, and it would be stupid to bulldoze that.
That ending really left an impact on me. There was just something about it, having spent so many hours, seeing that ending made me just go wow
So true!
I really loved the ending, and it would’ve been sad to see Geralts ending “undone” just because they wanted to make The Witcher 4.
With that said, I do hope he makes an appearance.
I’m willing to make a sizable bet that he will.
Sounds good to me. My only gripe is that I don’t think Ciri needs to go through the Trial of Grasses. She kind of already had well-established abilities (Elder blood) that made it easy for her to deal with most threats and we got to see that on full display in like half of The Witcher 3. Frankly, I had more fun playing with her abilities than I did with Geralt’s.
Also, wasn’t it established in lore that she couldn’t go through it because something something elder blood something?
Because they can? Because it makes sense? Anyone questioning the choice has obvious motives.
Feels like a logical next step for the series. She is Gerald’s apprentice Witcher and Gerald’s story got it’s ending.
End of blood and wine was basically his farewell anyway. He got his vineyard, his lover came to join, he was done
I thought that was the expectation?
They introduced us to a younger Witcher that the Geralt was training, Geralt’s story came to an end…
It felt like that’s what they were intentionally setting up, a totally Ciri-focused next game.
I’ve only played a few minutes of Witcher 3 so far and even I know Ciri is an apprentice to Geralt! I said to myself, “I don’t know who these people are yet but I guess she’ll be the main character in a sequel.”
It’s so they can have a new Ciri focused Witcher series on Netflix
Starring Henry Cavill as Ciri
Because they seek money and with this marketing stunt they got plenty of ads.
If by stunt you mean, “discusses how the character has been set-up as the natural replacement with games media interviewer”… then sure, stunt.
I’d be disappointed if they bought Geralt back tbh.
The house you get in Blood and Wine felt like a retirement home. I completed it, quit the game in the house with Yenn. He’s done.
Bitching about the woke feminist agenda in 3… 2… 1…
