It took monolith 6 years (after the release of XC2 and they had built the engine and assets) to release 2 games and 2 DLC with massive worlds and stories, and Square can’t even make a game half of the world size.

No wonder their gaming revenue fell. My 10 year old gaming pc’s mid tier graphics card is good enough to play modern games 1080p 60FPS mid-high settings. Everyone got into crypto mining, that boom is over, and now the data center, GenAI, is the big seller.

Is fishing still a thing in MMOs? Genuinely asking. I haven’t played an MMO since 2017 and fishing is basically nonexistent in offline games.

I’ve been using windows on ARM since the X1 Processor. Games that are optimised for it, like WoW, run perfectly smooth. But even games using the android subsystem run very bad. The ARM code is just not optimized enough. Apple ARM on the other hand has Whisky, which is like wine, but stronger. Well, my M1 chip on my MacBookAir gets up to a respectable 80°C, but it works smooth until then.
I prefer my cars small. Like really really small. A Swiss company made a car called the Microlino and it just looks like an old BMW Isetta. I’ll definitely get that car one day. It just looks stupid as heck! That’s “I don’t care about you and just do my own shit” in consumerism!

Just add mod support and release it unfinished. It’s Paradox - a triple A studio - it’s expected to be a buggy, unfinished mess.

I’d need a house and enough storage room for this. Where I live a 320 square foot apartment costs about $500 - that’s 25% of a regular monthly income after tax, a regular house is around around $700.000

I recently played a small game called “Ever Forward” on the Nintendo switch. Nowhere it says that the game runs like a PowerPoint presentation. Other than that, it would be helpful if I would have read a review that said “the beautiful world you see in the trailer and screenshots is the ‘hub’ where you enter boring looking levels. The puzzles consist of 2-3 cameras that react to sound and a cube you can throw and that you need to carry to the end of each short puzzle.”
