minus-squarejet@hackertalks.comOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up16·edit-220 days agoit might be time for Babylon 5 rewatch. My scifi fix hasn’t been satisfied by recent Hollywood attempts, need to go back to basics.

minus-squareTotallyNotSpez@startrek.websitelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·20 days agoYou’re welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. If you do like the Cyberpunk subgenre of scifi, I can also highly recommend the movie Upgrade. It’s an Australian production and the ending hit me like a freight train. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upgrade_(film) (Don’t read the plot section!)

minus-squarejet@hackertalks.comOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·edit-220 days agoMade a film post about your excellent recommendation: https://hackertalks.com/post/4230075 Wow that ending. Real Colossus: The Forbin Project vibes! I love the gentle AI apocalypse, but i love out the AI is trying to protect itself from competition first! Small nit, STEM was in the neck, so being able to see, or hear, or control what the brain can see and hear… wrong place for the routing.
