Basically, yes. Some companies also have “leeway months”, so to continue your example say you don’t pay it off entirely for the first 3 months, but just a portion. My credit card has (1) year to the date of purchase before interest accrues, so as long as it’s paid off within the year I can take as long as I like to pay it off.

Still, always pay off in full when you can.

Damn. You just made me realize some of the scope of background interest - that’s the sort of thing that Skyrim, GTA V, and Cyberpunk 2077 like to claim about NPC’s existing in a living breathing world on their own schedules.

You ever think about all the lives of the individuals next to you on the freeway? How all their lives are as complicated as our own? We don’t have that in games right now because it’s so complex and needlessly complicated for so little return.

But man, imagine a Shadow of Mordor connected NPC world. Friend groups, rivals, coworkers, bar patrons, they all have individuality that could affect other elements of the social game.

Not to mention grandfathered reserves. Redlands University has a contract with the city that it gets an allotted amount of water per year, so long as they use that much. So they do things like run the sprinklers all the time to use as much water as possible to keep their yearly allotment high in case of an influx of students.

If this fairly small college has this deal, I can only imagine what other schools and businesses have similar ones.
