I just heard about this game for the first time in the last week. It looks like if I want to play it I’ll have to buy this guy’s patreon to download and emulate it on my PC?
I thought it was a major let down, and I went into it with tempered expectations. The fights aren’t interesting, keeping but recasting Morpheus and Smith was weird, and it felt like it was just treading water throughout. Trinity flying at the end sort of devalued Neo’s role in the first three movies too.
Just the idea of an invisible man who can only turn invisible when no one’s looking at him is so brilliant and hilarious
Roughly quoting Jay Mohr from his recent interview on Bobby Lee’s Tigerbelly podcast:
"How Joe Rogan became the arbiter of what is funny is beyond me… all the times Joe Rogan has made us laugh… "
Joe Rogan has gotta be one of the least funny “comedians” in the game at the moment. I wish his relevancy would’ve peaked with Fear Factor.
Holy shit what a mensch, ty! The machines in my building are the easy kind too, no lock picking required!
My thoughts exactly! I just watched El Topo and The Holy Mountain and was expecting both on this list. Both are incredible films
My apartment building also converted their coin machines to CSC Go, so I’ve been biding my time until he reveals this exploit. They’re $2.50 per wash cycle and $2.25 per dryer cycle, but if you do a big load it won’t get fully dried so you might need an extra cycle. It’s basically highway robbery even considering the water and electricity usage.
Totally. The OG Xbox one was released November 2013, so this is only 11 years later. While 11 years may seem like a long time, of course we can still play games on pretty much any console that came before it so long as they are still in working order. Especially annoying considering an Xbox is very similar to a PC.
I’ve been having some health issues and have had to alter my diet and lifestyle pretty dramatically.
I watched a classic 90s movie that I hadn’t yet seen and loved it
I saw the new Longlegs movie (it was nothing special)
I am playing guitar a lot more again
So many cool characters from the John Wick universe - especially Donny Yen’s character - and they still couldn’t figure out something that worked. Cool settings, lore, and world building, only to ultimately succumb to corporate greed trodding over a beloved IP (most likely). Sigh.
I’ve wanted to replay Oblivion for ~12 years, but originally held off once I heard that Skyblivion was in the works. Should I just stop waiting and play modded Oblivion? Are there enough QoL, hires texture, and other mods to get close enough?
I am a big Arnold fan and an even bigger Cameron fan, and while this movie is fun and definitely worth a watch, it’s probably my least favorite Cameron movie (ignoring both Avatars). Not that it’s bad, but it crosses over into cringe/cheesiness a little too much for my liking.
FWIW I have no issues with my dbrand skin on my Steam Deck OLED. Though I spent hours to get a near perfect application and I repasted its APU with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
Clearly a skill issue tbh
I bought Vampire Survivors two weeks ago and I have almost 40 hours, all on Steam Deck. It’s the most fun I’ve had gaming in a long time. Simple gameplay loop with constant action and so many possible permutations of characters, stages, and power ups! I have ~ 2/3 of the unlocks and achievements so far.
I really wanted to get a steam deck when they first came out, but I decided not to bc I wasn’t gaming much at the time. Then I got a SD OLED right when they came out, and I’ve been playing it pretty much every day since then. I love playing retro games and emulating on it since its OLED screen is amazing, and I also do Steam Remote Play to it from my gaming PC and Chiaki to remote play from my PS5. Like another poster said, the Steam Deck has also been a game changer for getting me playing older games from my backlog. It’s perfect for playing games on the couch while watching TV or a movie as well.
Thanks! My samsung S21’s camera really struggles to focus on anything remotely close to its lens, even if I manually adjust it in Pro mode. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks! I am super stoked with how it turned out. It took me about 4 hours, but a decent chunk of that was me using a utility knife cracking open the one touchpad for which I was trying to swap its cover before I realized it wasn’t compatible. I suppose I could’ve swapped their covers and adhered the replacements to the metal brackets, but I also could not get the touchpad daughterboards out of the housing (they are likely adhered to the other piece too).
These are the resources I referenced while working on it:
So are there any good 4K extended editions fanedits that retain the original look without the mixed bag DNR, muted color-grading, digital artifacts, etc?
