GaaS has made gaming so boring. Fun for like, two months. But with no story and tons of nerfs, they quickly become rather samey feeling. I miss the Halo 2 days where games had a story. Or genuine innovation, like Rocket league, and its ability to be cross platform. That was GaaS done right, until Epic bought them and fucked it all up.

Red rescue team, if you haven’t played a pokemon mystery dungeon game before. I played the DS version (blue rescue team) and loved it.

I wish they didn’t break the flamethrower. I knew it wasn’t going to last, as it was way too fun and dangerous. I like gameplay where the weapon is just as dangerous to the player as it can be to enemies. That mindset has been bred out of modern shooters, though.

I wouldn’t say that’s entirely true. Vancouver, Vancouver island, and Montreal have some interesting bike infrastructure. Calgary has at least some infrastructure, too. Shifter is a canadian youtube channel that covers many of the canadian cities and discusses them in relation to other bike-centric cities around North America and Europe.

But yes, Canadian and American cities could use much more investment and a Parisian-style revision in road and plaza use, dedicating more places to bikes and foot traffic. Subsidizing ebikes will also help get people off cars.

Glad to see the west coast and Canada banning ICE, but 2035 is late. We should be massively pushing ebikes in cities along with public transit. Get fewer car trips ASAP, even if we can’t get off ICE overnight.

We need more third places that kids, teens, AND adults can access. Without needing to drive to them.

I don’t think it needs another. It stands alone as a testament to an interesting game design that shouldn’t be watered down.

I have yet to find another game that plays like Inscryption. It’s a deck builder, but wow, it has a story. Interestingly good game that I want more of.

While Elite Dangerous is part of a genre, it is a rare game that is actually meant for lots of controller/J HOTAS methods and has shockingly deep gameplay. You can tell it was really meant for adept players, a rare style of games these days. I doubt we will see one like it for awhile, just due to the needs of consumers, the game engine, and the capital required to build a game of that size again.

Massive investments in our economy and R&D, something we have been sorely lacking.

Some queer rights and even some small but humanizing stuff, like letting bi and gay men donate blood like the rest of humanity, and making the bar safer for everyone.

In addition to all the other stuff, like stopping the pandemic, pulling the economy out of a nosedive under Trump, reversing schedule F (think Trump’s version of Order 66) for federal employees who actually keep the lights on and the country going between multiple presidents, forgiving tons of student loans, and curtailing the damage from abortion being revoked where he can.

Not to mention his accomplishments on background checks for guns, pardoning federal Marijuana offenses, and slapping the dogshit out of Russia via our friends and allies. ❤️

Sad. Climate change is most likely going to fuck up a lot of the interior US. Gotta contain the damage as quickly as we can, because it will ruin lives, and your taxpayer dollars are going to be rebuilding their homes, or moving to where you live. Everyone has a vested interest in keeping the planet in optimal shape.

There are solutions, lol. It’s easy stuff, such as buying an ebike for trips less than 25 miles away. Or better insulating your house. Or replacing a furnace with a heat pump when your furnace breaks. Buying in bulk instead of buying micro things wrapped in plastic. Buying used equipment and jewelry rather than buying new. Eating less meat, or at least less beef.

There’s lots of small stuff that can have a dramatic impact on your carbon footprint. It also tends to save you shitloads of money, all green arguments aside. Up front costs might go up, but over time, you save a lot of money.
