2 months ago(IIRC) the changes are reverted after each update so you’d have to re-install every app.

SteamOS is immutable, so you can’t install system-wide apps on there, only flatpaks, appimages etc.
Valve really going against the grain and implementing actually great features instead of AI or some subscription shit.
Where I’m from you can already set your banking app as the default payment app and not use google pay.
Idk if Bangle.js is open source, but I imagine a e-ink display could be possible?
