This is a complete tonal change. Absolutely agree that it’s worse looking.

We already know of this. It’s an MMO.
I thought they practically were already.
If the PS5 wasn’t my first PlayStation ever, I’d probably be pretty disappointed with it. Kinda wish I held off and waited for this one, since I’d rather have it, but financing this just doesn’t make sense in my current position. Would rather build a PC and use my Deck for remote play.
This is an aggressively mid generation, I have to admit.
I don’t care if it’s free, take that shit out the game
The point in their presentation was having graphics modes be an immovable 60FPS instead of 30FPS. Presumably, every game with a performance mode (that was previously 60FPS) will now run at 120FPS. That’s effectively just doubling everything. It’s certainly not a bad product, but it isn’t for everyone.
XVII being more cyberpunk would go hard for real.
Yeah, but it’s Ahoy, so it’s much cooler
I would buy an Xbox if it was essentially a Steam Deck with no screen, but better hardware. Then again, it wouldn’t support Linux, so…
Wtf I thought I was alone
This is the first I’ve heard of this site, and damn is it interesting.
Right, so when’s AVALANCHE gonna be formed?
Wow! This is worthless!
A really, really bad one, at that.
Ever? Maybe within the Final Fantasy series (VI, IX, X, XII and XVI are all much better, even IV, V, and XV by some standards), but ever?
We should focus on planting trees in downtown areas with sprawling pavement acting as giant radiators.
I have a great idea on how to block the sun!
They’re called trees.

Fall is now out
I have played and enjoyed every single Final Fantasy game. Even XIII has some great stuff going for it. The series strong suit is that it’s never stale. Each game is a fresh, new take on a somewhat familiar net of design philosophies.
My favourite is XII. I love its job and gambit system, as well as the world design and music. IX comes just a tiny bit short, then V, probably.
