Sharpe’s on a hurricane map, just scribble out the inconvenient things and the world is doing bigly good.
He also reportedly ordered his aides to obtain an official retraction of the weather bureau’s comment that the storm was not headed for Alabama. On September 6, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) published an unsigned statement in support of Trump’s initial claim, saying that National Hurricane Center (NHC) models “demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama.” source
I still can’t believe NOAA compromised its own integrity just to pacify that f**king douchebag.
It’s a tough thing. Maybe it’s either do that, or lose your job or many jobs in your organization, for ultimately no benefit at all to anybody.
And thus the ratchet tightens. It is only one among millions, grand and trivial all across the country. It’s easy to judge strictly and say you should resist, if you’re not the one caught in it; and maybe you should. But with your flesh in the device the decision is different.
If they sent it in as unsigned, I’d take that as a subtle way to say “this dude want it and is the boss, but we don’t agree”. Happens often enough in the regular business world to, some exec days do it you can lodge a protest but it’s their name on the action.
This is just so weak! Trump is weak.
