I was very excited to learn about this project…only to discover it’s neither free nor open source. Does anyone know of any true open source and accessible tools for Syllabus sharing/curating/researching?

Lots of organizations use “Open” because it has positive connotations in people’s minds. They aren’t trying to suggest that they specifically follow the FOSS philosophy.

- Based on a cursory DDG search, dozens of other companies with open in their name, including a crypto exchange, a publicly traded tech company, etc.
Okay, but openai was open source once. And then they just didn’t change their name when they changed their licenses. Which I actually think is more dishonest.
