It’d be cool if they applied to all of android not just googled android.
I don’t think so because the majority of the new features are added in software updates to the pixel 8
Edit: You’re running grapheneos so it doesn’t matter anyways. get the pixel 8 cause the differences are minuscule
I’d argue the 9a is more equivalent to the regular 16, the regular pixel is the plus. Then the Pro and Pro max are the pro and pro xl
pixel is literally becoming the iphone
No, they are adopted from the device manufacturer.
I might have been wrong, they do have a Merged WiFi UnifiedLP Backend.
They have a lot of apps which aren’t DivestOS exclusive
How is it to you? Any notable issues? Also, are the Divest apps available in their F-droid repository pre-installed as system apps? Are the AOSP apps modified any? Thanks!
It supports more devices than GrapheneOS i.e. nonpixels. That is where I would totally use it.
It’s very loosely based on LineageOS, which is where all it’s device support comes from.
Would love to use UnifiedNLP
I’VE ISSUED A CORRECTION, SEE BELOW Unfortunately, UnifiedNLP is not supported. Quoting from their FAQ Page: Network (cell tower, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth beacon) based location providers such as Google Play Services, Qualcomm IZat, and microG/UnifiedNlp are not supported.
Sorry to break the news to you :(
EDIT: IT MIGHT BE SUPPORTED, see their Merged WiFi UnifiedLP Backend
I disagree, while the device codename itself is arbitrary, it’s not arbitrary on the download page. It’s common to identify devices by codename when naming custom roms.
Could you mean by device codename?
iFixit said the same, aswell as that removing the screen will break it, even with special care taken.
I tend to buy business devices because they often contain less bloat or gimmicky features.
I disagree, if this chip is anything like Knox protection, it will self-destruct if tripped, which is intentional to prevent the rom dev from making use of it.
Alternate title: Making the iPhone usable
Just another worthless feature that’s broken if you install a custom rom.
And lowers the bar for overheating and longevity.
Tragically, it appears no custom roms are available for the Key⊪2. It’s an interesting concept, however.
I bought a wear os watch deliberately because I thought I would enjoy modifying and customizing it like a regular android phone. In reality, I don’t use it much more than for fitness tracking. I’m going to buy a garmin instinct and not change for the next 4 years.
