Haven’t read those but I greatly enjoyed his four books, the Mars Trilogy and the additional Martian short story collection. Quite a bit of Mars Trilogy was inspired by the political philosophy of Murray Bookchin, now appreciated for anticipating a lot of the political philosophy behind solarpunk and degrowth.
Obviously fossil fuels are worse asshole. It’s literally in the comment when I mentioned Germany.
No idea what the heck you are trying to say, but it seems you’re trying to say it in bad faith. Seems like you’re making stuff up about degrowth or repeating stuff that others made up. Please read this to actually learn what degrowth means: Degrowth can work — here’s how science can help
Despicable! The people who are burning the Earth have names and addresses.
Nuclear is bad. We need to invest in renewables. (Sidenote, phasing out nuclear for fossil energy like what Germany did is worse than nuclear.)
If you say “well we need more energy to grow,” then I say we should degrow until renewables are sufficient for our needs.
Anything less than 1.5°C is defeatism and is literally the end of the world as we know it. It will literally mean mass death. I won’t settle for a 2°C target.
Not falling fast enough, not falling for 1.5°C. Don’t do PR for presidents who don’t give two shits about reaching climate goals.
Sure, so has almost every country in the world. Men are words, and words are wind.
We’ll win if we mitigate global warming to.1.5°C. I don’t see Biden phasing out coal and fossil gas or setting lowered targets for oil. No, as it is, we will exceed 2.0°C.
Even if 1.5°C has become impossible, and I do believe it is already, I’ll still fight for it.
Alright then
