Started a new job and I’m so, so, so much happier.

I’ve been with my husband 23 years and we’ve moved 4x, with each move being influenced at least partially by noise from a neighbor’s dog.

Now we live somewhere where we have no adjacent neighbors and the house is made of brick. I think we’ve finally found our peace and quiet – super important because he works from home.

The house itself needed a lot of work, still does, but it’s so peaceful and the view is spectacular.

I have two shifts totaling 14 hours left in the job that I hate, and will start at the job that I actually want next Monday. Life is looking great.

Brush my teeth with an electric toothbrush for 2 minutes every night and do simple exercises while brushing, like squats and leg lifts.

I used to work at a garden center and have heard the horror stories from customers about landscapers cutting off bud-bearing old growth and tearing out native wildflower beds.

I’ve been to prom but never with a real date.

I’ve told lies but never cheated on a test.

I’ve flown in planes but never jumped out of one. (I would like to try but my husband doesn’t want me to, and I love him so I won’t put myself at risk like that unless he’s ok with it.)

Hmm I never thought of this before but I might have never seen the Atlantic Ocean except maaaybe from a plane window.

But I’ve seen, been in, and been on Pacific waters many times.

Btw I just recently had the pleasure of trying the Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake from Costco and it definitely lives up to the hype. Graham cracker crust though, so you may not be a fan.

I just turned 50 last month. My husband got me a cake. It’s “just a cake” but he had to get up early and sneak out of the house and get back before I woke up and left for work, then hide the cake for a day. That’s what made it special.
