BURN THEM TO THE GROUND
If you’re wondering if I mean metaphorically or literally, first one, then the other but in a climate-friendly way.
Located on Deck 6, Room 2054. Mass evacuation site for decks 5-10.
I’m someone’s favorite.

I haven’t bought a game for more than $30 in over a decade.
And that was a nostalgia purchase.
Increasing the price just makes me want to go sailing.
THE ECONOMY IS DOING GREAT, PEOPLE, STOP SAYING IT ISN’T
homelessness on the rise
people living paycheck-to-paycheck on the rise
cost of living increasing faster than income growth
corporations doubling prices for no reason other than they realized they can, thus resulting in record profits for huge companies
Oh right, that’s what it means.
Big businesses are making more money.
The Poors don’t factor into such things, so their problems aren’t real economic problems.
These aren’t going to shine as “I want to power my rc plane” batteries, but as someone else said, “[a house-powering battery] can be as large as it needs to be and buried in the back yard”
I’d love a giant sodium battery in a bunker that gathers energy from my wind/solar setup and powers everything without needing to connect to the US power grid.
As long as I can service my own windmill and panels with extra parts (I’m a big believer in both “have a backup” and “two is one and one is none” so always keep 3 spares of things around) I’m set on power during events that would shut down the neighbors.
The lower cost (and battery cost has been lowering drastically for many years based on my own RC dealings) will allow for mass-storage at low prices.
Opponents of renewable energy are running out of excuses, so they have to grasp at straws.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. We might get there, and we have to start somewhere.
I hope I’m wrong about reading the articles again.
The optimist in me is pumped about those stats, but the cynical pedantic asshole in me wants to point out >0≠0
Mostly I was just commenting on the fact that I keep seeing articles every few years about how some country or other has gone back on its promises to cut X by Y percent.
Thanks for sharing the facts, though! My cynical side needs to see stuff like that to keep it at bay.
Can’t wait to see the articles in 10 years about how major countries are phasing out coal in the next 10-20 years.
Again.
We had one woman like this everyone called “dime bag Debbie” because she always asked for “ten dollars for chicken”
Not happy (but still accepting) if you gave her anything other than $10, and a few people I knew apparently tried to buy her raw and cooked chicken, as well as chicken sandwiches from various restaurants and that was also unhappily accepted.
I think the $10 thing is a coincidence, and people call her “dimebag” because they assume she does drugs. No idea if she does or not though.
Crackhead Dan.
He started out as “dancing Dan” because of how often you could see him jamming out to something walking down the road, but he didn’t like the name. Somehow it changed to crackhead, and I haven’t heard his opinion on it.
He looks rather disheveled, leading many to wonder if he’s homeless or not. Nobody seems to know. I’ve never seen him panhandling, dumpster diving, or with anything other than a backpack.
He likes to support the city’s high school band though, goes to the football games and always goes to the band concession stand and leaves tips.
You could tell anyone any story about him and they’d just go “yeah that sounds about right”
WOAH, what a coincidence, my money is locked behind a “High Cs” pass.
I fully expect to be utterly whelmed by it.
Honestly as long as it’s entertaining me, it doesn’t need to be the best show to ever exist. I don’t love The Fift Element because it’s high cinema. I love it because it’s fun.
The title/headline is purely for engagement, right? It has to be.
I haven’t seen it yet but I haven’t heard a single negative thing about the show yet. Only praise and lots of “it’s way better than I expected”
Anecdotally in Midwestern us:
A solar farm went up in a mostly unused field roughly half a mile away through a field and Trees.
Since it went up, insect and pollinator activity seems to have increased around my house. No actual recorded observations, but I’m outside a lot year round so I tend to notice when there’s a lot more butterflies fluttering by.
I am not aware of any other major changes in the area, so there could be other explanations, but when driving through the farm, I also get bugs splattering on my windshield, which almost never happens anymore most places.
Oh I’m sure they “tried” in a very circuitous, unfavorable, nobody-would-ever-have-agreed-to-this way.
Kind of like saying “can I download my indie game to your computer and also kick you in your genitals with a spiky boot?”
Before anyone tries pointing out that’s not exactly how it would have happened, I suggest you look up “hyperbole”
Hunger is one of life’s Great Equalizers.
Well I mean… Once you use it’s charge, idlf you survive, you can have a nice heavy walking stick!
Surely you wouldn’t part an old man with his walking stick?!
I think THIS staff might have slightly more power
Just don’t cast fireball…
They’re all ripoff of Dune anyway, which is ultimately a space themed ripoff of the legend/myth/folklore tale of King Arthur, which ultimately through various retellings and copies of copies of other stories takes you back to the epic of Gilgamesh.
So basically all modern stories are just a 5000 year old game of telephone for Gilgamesh.
So uhhh… Checkmate atheists?
