Browser extension for the VPN? I remember asking in the forums some time back and they were extremely hostile to the idea.

Is this less powerful than the shield? I can get those second hand for less than the asking price for this, and for us sailors streaming apps are not important
I guess its the right moment to redeem all keys and download all DRM free games.
We are going to see a new case of “you don’t own digital purchases” articles soon
Is there a port for M Macs? I’m missing it so much now that I don’t have Linux on the laptop.
Keep that in mind next time you consider giving money to Microsoft. I definitely do.
I’m just playing devil’s advocate, and never es l was this name more appropriate.
Devil’s advocate: the login requires a server, so even old versions won’t work unless they keep them online. And without support, they will be easy target for hackers.
I hate this, and honestly the best would have been to not change the logging at all. I bought a game that didn’t need a MS account to play and this change doesn’t bring any benefit.
A pity the last point is a link to YouTube. The Google owned video platform.
I would either point to a competitor or at least an invidious server.
Unpopular opinion: instead (or aside) from being upset at Google, you should be upset at the legislative framework that makes companies think they can get away with this
FastAPI, not a language, but a very good python library, if somebody wants to read the story
The independent YouTube would have done the same really.
I haven’t seen any mention, but can it ensure the apps are offline when not in use?
My main use for shelter are the apps that I very rarely use, and I don’t want notifications or battery usage, aside from the privacy.
The problem is that proton needs to translate direct X to Vulcan, but Apple doesn’t allow Vulcan, it has to be their own thing, Metal.
So it’s a lot of work for valve and fully dependent on apple not screwing them.
Might be due to my instance, but I see downvotes. Not nearly enough as it should have after reading the article though.
While it’s nice that it ensure data is preserved, the fact that the app has to be downloaded again makes it just meh. I want to have apps frozen when I don’t want to use them, and instantly available when I do. I have several apps in shelter to mimic this behavior.
I was excited to see but I see is now archived. Is there a successor or new maintainer? I have to try this
100%. Most nuisances on Linux are considered issues to be fixed or improved, in windows are by design.
Option A sounds good
That was my point. They (forum users, I don’t think actual developers) insisted that it’s a middle solution. That I could use the application and whitelist only the browser and that some JS could bypass the VPN and get the real IP.
I got two years of Nord for that same reason, then two of Proton that’s about to end, so this was probably around 4 years ago.
