Tbh, luddite fits really well considering they only became associated with being Anti Tech once they started burning down Lace making factories since the advent of the Lace machine started taking high paying craftsmanship jobs away because a machine could produce what they did for cheap. Cyberpunk started to turn around significantly before Edgerunners came about. Its overall a good game, it just released too early and fed the hype machine too hard (Which is to say, yes shit they promised would be in the game didnt make it into the game).

Tbf I think a lot of that is just the fault of people starting to use discord in ways it wasnt designed for. It works GREAT as a msn/skype/ventrillo type of program. Its just that people started using it for more than just that, and to my knowledge discord isnt super profitable yet, so I dont blame them for trying to accept any type of use people want to use discord for. Eventually it’ll need to at least break even profit wise.

Tbh, I kinda get both sides here. The precedent thats unfolding, not even being set, since this isnt the first game to do so, is bad enough to stain the game and be worth being pissed about. But also, since the entire game can be enjoyed ignoring the DLC even exists, its a fun enough game in a slightly more niche category that its also worth ignoring the precedent
