Hey I want to try out slackware real bad (for my own, religious reasons. Praise “Bob”).

So anyway I was wondering, I’ve heard it’s more difficult than your average distro, mainly in the sense that dependencies are not managed by a package manager like the dnf I’m used to, but then I’ve also heard they have tools for that now. Before I try it out I’d like to ask a few people like yourself how they manage dependencies, and if there are any other tips you’d like to share.

Though true, phones can also go down, I believe the point would be redundancy in case X works but Y does not. Though as someone else mentioned HAM is a better solution anyway, I need to finally get my technician’s license.

Landlines also still work if cell and internet are out but power isn’t in an emergency, which I’d bet is why she wants the landline lol.

'Course, that wouldn’t stop the FSB from implying or outright threatening it, nor possibly iCarlson believing the death threats to be real especially given their track record of defenestration. That would effectively accomplish the same goal.

It’d be interesting to see this with many things, movies, records, and comics come to mind but I’m sure there’s more.
