      Deserts also tend to have very clear air (not humidity for clouds and few other sources of pollution), which allows heat to radiate away faster than in other regions. If you do things right, you can localize this to make an area cool quickly using heat radiation and reflection, perhaps even more quickly than using convection and isolation (big building that blocks out the heat but allows airflow).

        although an interesting part of the video (which I got around to watching) is the use of the tech in england.
