      Upside-down crosses are originally a symbol of Saint Peter who request to be crucified upside down “as he felt he was unworthy of being crucified in the same manner as Jesus.” The anti-christian connotation came fairly recently and adding the little Buddhist symbol in the middle will attract more tourists, but it’s just mashing things together.
