      RetroDECK aims to be an all-in-one solution. No need to mess with the terminal or anything.

      It automatically configures the emulators, has a fantastic custom controller configuration, and is very easy to update through flathub/Discover.

          Yeah at this point they’re basically the same thing. The important difference you have to know is that Emudeck will install emulators independently, and show them as their own games in your Steam library, whereas Retrodeck will install ES-de and only show one executable in your Steam library, from which you will launch your emulated games. It’s a matter of preference.

    @lazorne

    My fav #emuation method. I hated how EmuDeck takes anywhere from 25-35gb’s of SSD, and in so many different places if you uninstall.

    Recently uninstalled EmuDeck to go back to #RetroDECK. Wondering why it took me so long! All-in-one is a win in my eyes. And even more glad that Ryujinx has been half solved. Looking forward to getting back to my Switch games.

    We will release 0.8.4b

    As 0.8.3b did not fix the issue for all users we will do a minor patch of 0.8.4b that should move the folders correctly to retrodeck/ES-DE/ and force set the correct path in ES_Config.

    The 0.8.0b branch is still on the old manifest and it is a bit unwieldy to debug and we are making changes to our testing routines and the tester user program.

    In some more positive news for @everyone. As soon as we got this fixed we will post our blogpost for August detailing some of the work we have done during the summertime (the new manifest).
